Rate West Side Swim ClubNot so great
How could West Side Swim Club be improved?I am pretty disappointed with the quality of lessons. I have one in toddler level and one in Level 1. The toddler “lesson” is basically just free swim. Nothing gets taught. There are no skills practice or organization. There really is no lesson. The teacher (Avi) is sweet and supportive of the kids, but doesn’t teach anything. Sometimes she take one of the kids to the other side of the pool but only spend her time with that one kid during the lesson. This week a mom came and said, “I don’t have to get in so I?” Avi said no. So now Avi only takes care of that child the whole time. What little attention she was giving to the others is now given to this one child. What applies to one, should apply to all. I have done lessons at Swim West so I know what a toddler class should look like. I don’t know if the teachers need more oversight or more training or if this teacher has gone rogue. I am not getting what was advertised. I was hoping to have an annual membership until my kids were adults, but the lack of training for the teachers us making me rethink that.
